ENOS BT System (ERX-BT) – Portable GPS Marine Rescue System with Bluetooth & App Control

The new ENOS BT System (ERX-BT) combines the proven reliability of the autonomous ENOS rescue system with a completely redesigned app, improved Bluetooth connectivity, modern battery technology, and intelligent navigation features.

Designed for diving vessels, liveaboards, charter boats, and professional marine operators, ENOS provides fast and precise positioning of persons in distress at sea without relying on mobile networks or external rescue infrastructure.

The portable boxed system offers a flexible, self-contained solution that can be used on different vessels without requiring permanent installation.

New & Improved Features

Redesigned ENOS App

The new ENOS App has been completely redesigned for faster, clearer, and more intuitive operation, especially when every second counts.

New User Interface

A modern, streamlined interface makes essential rescue information immediately accessible, even in high-stress emergency situations.

Map & Radar View

Operators can switch between two display modes depending on the situation.

Map View
Displays the vessel and activated ENOS transmitters on an integrated Google Maps interface for easy geographical orientation.

Map data can also be used offline when previously available on the connected device.

Radar View
Provides a classic circular radar-style display showing the relative position of activated ENOS transmitters.

The display radius automatically adjusts according to the most distant emergency signal.

Personalized Transmitter Names

Individual ENOS transmitters can be assigned custom names, allowing operators to identify divers, crew members, guests, or teams immediately instead of relying solely on transmitter IDs.

Active Transmitter List & Emergency History

The ENOS App provides a clear overview of all active transmitters.

The integrated history function also allows emergency events and their progression to be reviewed and documented.

Automatic Software Updates

When logging in, the ENOS App automatically checks for available software updates and can download the latest version, helping keep the system up to date.

Bluetooth 3.0 & Smart Connect

New BT3 Bluetooth Chip

The ERX-BT features the new BT3 Bluetooth chip, providing a more stable, faster, and more energy-efficient connection between the ENOS receiver and the connected tablet.

The upgraded Bluetooth technology improves communication performance and provides greater flexibility when positioning the receiver and tablet on board.

Key benefits include:

  • Improved connection stability

  • Faster data transmission

  • Reduced energy consumption

  • Reliable communication between receiver and tablet

  • Greater flexibility in receiver placement

Automatic MAC Address Detection

The ENOS App automatically recognizes the individual MAC address of the receiver and establishes the connection directly.

No manual Bluetooth pairing is required.

This makes setup faster and reduces the number of steps required before the system is ready for use.

USB-C Charging & LiFePO₄ Battery Technology

The portable ENOS BT System (ERX-BT) features modern USB-C charging together with durable LiFePO₄ rechargeable battery technology.

This provides a reliable, convenient, and long-lasting power solution for regular use on board.

LiFePO₄ battery technology is particularly well suited to demanding marine environments and frequent professional operation.

Key advantages include:

  • USB-C charging for simple and convenient charging on board

  • LiFePO₄ rechargeable battery technology

  • Long battery cycle life

  • Stable and reliable power delivery

  • High durability for frequent use

  • Reduced maintenance requirements compared with conventional battery technologies

  • Battery charge level displayed directly within the ENOS system

Combined with the portable design of the ERX-BT, the rechargeable power system allows the receiver to be deployed wherever it is needed without requiring a permanent vessel installation.

Portable & Self-Contained Design

The ENOS BT boxed system is designed as a flexible, portable rescue solution.

The receiver and associated electronics are securely housed within the system enclosure, making the complete unit easy to transport, store, and deploy.

This is particularly useful for:

  • Dive vessels

  • Liveaboards

  • Charter boats

  • Expedition vessels

  • Commercial marine operators

  • Operators using ENOS across multiple vessels

The portable configuration allows the system to be moved between vessels when required while maintaining the full ENOS rescue functionality.

Proven ENOS Receiver & GPS Technology

The ENOS receiver continuously determines the vessel's position and processes incoming emergency signals from activated ENOS transmitters.

The system provides the crew with clear positioning data, allowing a person in distress to be located and recovered quickly.

ERX-BT-I with External GPS Antenna

The ERX-BT-I Indoor GPS version includes a connection for an external GPS antenna.

This allows the receiver to be operated inside an enclosed bridge, wheelhouse, salon, or other protected area while the external antenna is positioned outdoors for optimal satellite and UHF reception.

This provides greater flexibility when choosing the operating position of the portable receiver.

Real-Time Vessel & System Data

Important navigation and system information is displayed directly within the ENOS App.

Available information includes:

  • Date and time

  • Vessel speed

  • Vessel heading

  • Receiver battery level in %

  • GPS signal quality

  • Number of connected GPS satellites

This gives the captain or crew an immediate overview of both the vessel's navigation data and the operational status of the ENOS system.

Multiple Emergency Signals – Simultaneously

One of the key advantages of the ENOS system is its ability to receive, process, and clearly display multiple GPS-based emergency signals at the same time.

If several divers or crew members activate their ENOS transmitters, the receiver can display their individual positions simultaneously.

This allows the vessel crew to assess the complete emergency situation and coordinate an efficient recovery operation.

Each activated transmitter can be individually identified and displayed within the ENOS App.

Detection of ENOS Transmitters from Other Vessels

The ENOS receiver can also process compatible emergency signals from ENOS transmitters belonging to other vessels in the surrounding area.

This means that ENOS-equipped vessels can assist one another during search-and-rescue operations.

A vessel receiving an emergency signal does not need to be the vessel originally associated with the transmitter.

This creates an additional layer of safety and enables ENOS-equipped vessels operating in the same area to support each other during an emergency.

Direct Distance, Bearing & GPS Position

No advanced navigation knowledge is required to interpret an ENOS emergency signal.

The system clearly displays the position of the person in distress in relation to the vessel.

Available positioning information includes:

  • Distance from the vessel

  • Bearing / direction

  • GPS position

This allows the crew to immediately navigate toward the activated transmitter.

The emergency position can be approached using either the relative distance and bearing information or the transmitted GPS coordinates.

Designed for Fast Recovery

The purpose of ENOS is not simply to transmit an emergency signal.

It is designed to provide the vessel crew with the information required to actively locate and recover a person in distress.

Once an ENOS transmitter is activated, the receiver provides the position directly to the crew on board.

This enables an immediate response without depending on mobile phone coverage or waiting for external infrastructure to determine the position.

Independent Marine Rescue Technology

The ENOS BT System operates as an autonomous marine rescue solution.

It does not depend on:

  • Mobile phone networks

  • Cellular coverage

  • Internet connectivity for receiving emergency signals

  • Shore-based rescue infrastructure for determining the position

The emergency transmitter communicates directly with the ENOS receiver on board.

This direct connection is especially valuable in remote marine environments where conventional communication infrastructure may be unavailable or unreliable.
